The GEHAKA Master System MS3000 TOC ultrapurifier serves a wide range of applications that require a high degree of precision in their analytical processes.

The MS3000 TOC is a system designed to produce Type 1 ultrapure water from drinking water sources, or from sources with purity standards equivalent to public water supply networks.

Equipped with modern technology, this equipment offers several features that simplify the operator’s daily routine and ensure compliance with the strict standards of various official pharmacopoeias and regulations, both national and international.

The MS3000 TOC ultrapurifier is widely used in laboratories, industries across many sectors, and research centers that need ultrapure water for laboratory tests and assays.

APPLICATIONS:

The Master System MS3000 TOC is suitable for a wide variety of applications, including:

  • Total organic carbon analysis.
  • Biotechnology – electrophoresis.
  • Cell culture.
  • Cell and molecular biology.
  • Histology, ELISA.
  • Preparation of standard solutions.
  • Washing of ampoules, sterile vials, and critical glassware.
  • High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
  • Gas chromatography.
  • Atomic absorption spectrometry.
  • Flame emission spectrometry.
  • ICP-MS.

Characteristics

Key Features:

  • Compliance with standards and regulations: meets ASTM, USP, ISO, CTLE-04 Inmetro, MAPA, and Anvisa requirements, ensuring excellent compliance.
  • Volume programming: allows the dispensing of pre-programmed volumes of water. The equipment is simple to operate, saving time in users’ daily routines.
  • UV light with 185 nm and 254 nm radiation and dual action: oxidation of organic carbon and germicidal effect.
  • Touchscreen display: monitoring of conductivity, resistivity, TOC, and temperature parameters.
  • Expandability: can be expanded with an optional external reservoir, increasing service capacity.
  • Integrated report printing: the printer built into the front panel generates reports on the quality of the water dispensed, including date and time, meeting Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements and providing traceability and compliance.
  • 7 purification stages: particle filter, activated carbon, reverse osmosis, UV lamp, deionizer, endotoxin retention filter, and recirculation with 0.01 μm ultrafiltration for microbiological control.
  • Additional collection point for demineralized water (after reverse osmosis), for less critical purposes.
  • Direct feed from the water supply network: the ability to connect directly to the water supply eliminates the need for prior water treatment, simplifying installation and reducing associated costs.

ADVANTAGES AND BENEFITS:

  • Easy installation and operation: the equipment has easy-fit hydraulic connections that make it simple to connect to the available water line or source. It also features modern software and an intuitive, easy-to-access interface, which speeds up the user’s routine.
  • Simple maintenance: thanks to sliding side doors, consumables are quick and easy to access, allowing quick-fit “bayonet” type filter elements to be replaced simply and without hassle, reducing system downtime.
  • Application versatility: suitable for a wide variety of applications in laboratories and industries. It adapts to each user’s processes and applications.
  • Guaranteed traceability: includes a thermal printer that records data such as resistivity, conductivity, and temperature. The system also tracks the expiration of each filter element, ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and process traceability.

It is important to note that producing ultrapure water is an extremely sensitive laboratory procedure, as the water is susceptible to rapid contamination by external agents, especially atmospheric gases, which dissolve in the water and compromise its physicochemical quality. For this reason, we do not recommend storing ultrapure water in external tanks other than those supplied by Gehaka. Please also be aware that Total Organic Carbon (TOC) is likewise affected by external contaminants, which can increase the TOC value of stored water.

Therefore, we recommend that any aliquot of ultrapure water be used as soon as it is produced, minimizing possible contamination by external agents.
